The Plymouth Canton Optimists primary goal is to work with the respective communities to bring out the best in the children. The focus to help children develop strength in body and mind.

A positive attitude is woven into all the programs for each child. The objective is to develop the leaders of tomorrow with appreciation of all the accomplishments of each member. They need to recognize their missteps and to learn how to avoid them in the future. It requires opportunities for challenges, this is provided through our association with Optimists International. They offer an Essay and Oratorical contest annually. The first place winner earns a $25,000 scholarship. Other programs are offered at all levels to give the students a chance to develop academically and physically.

Our club engages in many activities with other service organization in the community to support their projects. In order to provide funding for projects we organize fund raisers within the Plymouth-Canton area. These activities are generally fun and provide a great opportunity to socialize among the members.

What it boils down to is the Plymouth-Canton Optimists are a group of people who want to be a part of the community by giving time and find the activities enjoyable and rewarding experiences. The following provides information about the various projects we like to provide for our youth.
